The five cousins Gavin and Gabriel's age were the ones willing and allowed to go horseback riding at Bryce Canyon. All the moms accompanied and Chelsey and Derek joined, too. The kids handled the horses well and looked small mounted on them. Gabriel's horse, Bullwinkle, kept stopping to eat and so Gabriel slowly got passed up in line. On of the trail guides noticed he wasn't up with his cousins and brought him up to the front again. Gavin wanted to trot and kept hitting his horse, Zero, (gently) with the reins to hurry it up. Also holding the reins at the end up like tv rabbit ears. They were so brace and handled it well. Before we started Gavin said he wasn't sure he wanted to go because last time he fell off the horse to the ground, which is true. By the end all of the cousins started feeling more comfortable and trying to trot more. It was a good overlook of the canyon, but a little close to the edge. I couldn't take pictures - I was white-knuckling the reins.
