BYU Homecoming Parade

Gavin and Gabriel were invited to to participate in the Homecoming Parade with the College of Life Science's float.  The theme of the parade was “Go the Distance,” and the Life Sciences college entry was a homemade 40’ long DNA strand.  The banner read, “Go the Distance:  Discovering the Human Genome Project.”  The student council/volunteers were wearing lab coats and carried the DNA “dragon” and passed out candy.  We walked in front under a banner that read:  “Medical Research Went the Distance and Saved Our Twins.”  Of the 75 entries the Life Sciences was awarded the "Grand Marshal's Award", meaning the best overall entry.  The judging was done by Janet Lee Chamberlain, widow of former BYU President Rex E. Lee.

Photos from 4th of July weekend

Showing off their six packs in our favorite outfit of theirs.

It's hard to get a photo of both of them smiling at the same time.

Their eyes are a combination of deep baby blue, and fiery red.

Grandma Clarene was an active particpant in every one of Gavin and Gabriel's feedings. (and Janis and Chris's, too!)

After navigating through the massive crowds and rain for several hours to see the fireworks, we decided we are probably safe to start taking the babies to church.

Gavster's and Gaby Babe's first 4D theater experience.

United in Dance

Enjoy this visual of humanity joining together throughout the world. Sounds cheesy, but leaves us smiling and wanting to dance. We recommend clicking over and watching this in high quality.

One Year Anniversary

Janis and I have completed the most eventful year of our lives. We have moved four times, our family has doubled, finished a segment of school, and Janis spent a third of the year lying down. It's been the best year of our lives.

Our family of four celebrated at Maggiano's little Italy.
