BYU Homecoming Parade

Gavin and Gabriel were invited to to participate in the Homecoming Parade with the College of Life Science's float.  The theme of the parade was “Go the Distance,” and the Life Sciences college entry was a homemade 40’ long DNA strand.  The banner read, “Go the Distance:  Discovering the Human Genome Project.”  The student council/volunteers were wearing lab coats and carried the DNA “dragon” and passed out candy.  We walked in front under a banner that read:  “Medical Research Went the Distance and Saved Our Twins.”  Of the 75 entries the Life Sciences was awarded the "Grand Marshal's Award", meaning the best overall entry.  The judging was done by Janet Lee Chamberlain, widow of former BYU President Rex E. Lee.

My goodness they are so darling! And they can add "featured in a parade" to their already long list of accomplishments! I'll make sure to arrange a time to see them before you guys leave for Wisconsin.
